Habitat

Breeds in north eastern Asia, winters from eastern India to Indonesia and rarely to northern and eastern AustraliaTidal mud-flats, estuaries and sand or shingle banks

Breeding

May June July; breeds in central Asia, 2 to 3; light olive, blotched reddish-brown. Monogamous and both sexes incubate.
