Habitat

Wetlands, generally, open plains and bare ground.

Breeding

July August September October November December but usually following rain, 4; greenish-olive, various markings. Incubation about 28 days by both sexes and also feeding and rearing done by both sexes.

Diet

Omnivore, Insects; small crustaceans; herbage.
