Habits
Diurnal,Usually encountered alone or in pairs. A new nest is constructed for each brood if more than one is raised in a season. The nest is a neat cup of bark strips and grass bound with spiderweb overhanging water on a horizontal branch.
Habitat
Coastal Wetlands Woodland, Australia wide but rare in central & north areas; inland waters and fringing forests.
Breeding
August September October November December, 3 to 4; white or buff. Up to 3 broods may be raised in a season. Both sexes share nest building, incubation and care of the young. Incubation and fledging both take about 14 days.
