Diurnal, Migratory species feeds on small flying insects The young remain dependant on parents for most of their food for several weeks after leaving the nest.
Habitat
Grassland, Parklands and settled areas.
Breeding
August September October November December, 4-5; white; spotted purplish brown with underlying markings of lavender. Several broods may be raised in a year. Both sexes share nest building , incubation and care of young. Incubation 16 days, young take 19 days to fledge.
