Description

Grey or Grey-brown above, irregularly flecked and mottled darker brown, paratoid glands paler than the rest of the dorsum, orange patches in groin and behind the knee

Habits

Nocturnal. Burrowing frog - call is a short "rasp"

Habitat

Forest, Woodland, usually found wherever monsoon rains result in temporarily flooded ground in grassland or woodland.

Notes

This species is an unusual frog in that it is a dietary specialist; eating 90% termites.

Breeds in the wet season across the northern NT
