Grey, brown or fawn above, usually with broad darker vertabral band, bounded on either side by a lighter brown zone, a blackish stripe along the side of the head, continuing behind the eye, over the base of the forelimb and along the side of the body

Nocturnal. Usually found calling from trees and shrubs beside watercourses

Habitat

Desert, Forest, Woodland. Found throughout Australia except for the Southern regions, in desert regions largely confined to ranges or larger watercourses, Permanent swamps

Breeding

Breeds after summer rains.
