Stone Country, Frequents spinifex on rock ledges and plateaux in sandstone country
Breeding
December to March, 2-3 pale pink, marked with reddish-brown and purplish grey. Females incubate and brood unaided but the male assists in the feeding.

Omnivore, Seeds and insects.
