Habits

Sedentary and rather solitary, established pairs hold to a rather large territory, Unique habit of ornamenting their nest with hairy caterpillars.

Habitat

Desert Shrubland Grassland Woodland, Arid and subcoastal mulga and eucalypt scrubs and woodland of all inland Australia.

Breeding

August to Janauary, triggered at anytime by heavy rain. 3-4 eggs, white spotted with gray.

Diet

Omnivore, insects and seeds.
