Diurnal,Migratory in southern parts of range, nomadic everywhere else

Habitat

Desert Stone Country, Arid heaths and savanahs, and flowering desert shrubs.

Breeding

October November December January February, 2 to 3; yellow-white, with spots of dark umber and dull slate grey. Both sexes nest build, incubate and feed the young. Incubation period 12 - 13 days. Young fledge 10 days.

Omnivore, Insects and nectar.
